Frequently Asked Questions

Do you repair e-bikes?

Yes — we offer mechanical repairs to all types of e-bike. We are Bosch certified, which means we can diagnose and update Bosch motor, battery and electronic systems. For other e-bike brands, we cannot guarantee diagnosis or repair of electrical or motor faults, even if they appear while we have the bike — it's always worth giving us a call before booking so we can advise. Please ensure your battery is fully charged when you hand over your bike as we will need to test ride the bike and are not able to charge non-Bosch batteries at our workshop.

Do you service cargo bikes and e-cargo bikes?

Yes — we collect, service and repair cargo bikes and e-cargo bikes. As with all e-bikes, we are Bosch certified and can diagnose Bosch motor and electronics issues. For other e-cargo brands, we can carry out all mechanical repairs but are unable to guarantee diagnosis or repair of electrical faults — give us a call before booking so we can advise. Please ensure your battery is fully charged when you hand over your bike as we will need to test ride the bike and are not able to charge non-Bosch batteries at our workshop.

Is this booking form just for collection and drop-off?

No — our booking form is for all repair slots. Whether you're dropping your bike off at our workshop at Umberslade Estate or arranging a collection from your house, this is the form to use. Just select the option that suits you when booking.

How does the collection service work?

Book online, we'll get back with the nearest available slot for your requirements and location. Once confirmed, we'll collect your bike at the agreed time, triage it, send a written estimate, repair it, test ride and return it to you.

Is there a charge for Home bike collection?

Yes — there is a charge for collecting your bike at home, which covers van, fuel and driver costs. This charge is subject to change, so please check our Collection Charges page for more details. This charge is separate to our minimum spend, which ensures we can cover our workshop running costs across all the van slots we offer.

Our evening (out-of-hours) collection slots are generally more expensive than our daytime collection slots.

Dropping your bike off at our workshop at Umberslade Estate avoids the collection charge and minimum spend entirely — it's worth calling ahead on 01564 660652 or booking online as the workshop has limited spaces.

Do I need to be home for collection?

Ideally, yes — we prefer the rider to hand the bike over if possible. However, some customers choose to leave their bike in a secure location or with a neighbour if this isn't possible. We offer an out-of-hours collection round (after 5pm) to fit around work.

Do you collect bikes from south Birmingham?

Yes — we regularly collect from Moseley, Kings Heath, Stirchley, Selly Oak, Bournville, Harborne, Edgbaston, Hall Green, Wythall, Barnt Green, Rednal, Northfield, Longbridge, Hollywood, Earlswood, Alvechurch and surrounding areas.

Do you collect from north and central Birmingham?

Yes — we cover Digbeth, Jewellery Quarter, Bearwood, Handsworth, Perry Barr and the city centre. A higher minimum spend on labour applies to these areas — equivalent to a full service for your bike type. See our prices page for current prices.

Do you collect bikes from Solihull?

Yes — we regularly collect from across Solihull, including Cheswick Green, Dorridge, Knowle, Shirley, Hockley Heath, Bentley Heath, Hampton-in-Arden, Catherine-de-Barnes and surrounding areas.

Do you collect bikes from Warwickshire?

Yes — we cover Warwickshire including Redditch, Henley-in-Arden, Lapworth, Studley, Wootton Wawen, Hampton-in-Arden, Alvechurch, Alcester, Mappleborough Green, Astwood Bank, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Tanworth-in-Arden, Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding villages. Alternatively, our workshop at Umberslade Estate in Tanworth-in-Arden is convenient for many Warwickshire customers — with no minimum spend for drop-offs.

How long does a bike repair take?

Our standard turnaround for servicing and home collection is one week. Individual jobs at the workshop can often be done quicker, and sometimes while you wait. This may vary depending on the condition of the bike and whether we need to source any parts. We'll always discuss your timing requirements and keep you updated throughout.
